Why This Cigar?
The Flor de las Antillas Maduro by My Father Cigars is named "Flower of the Antilles," a nod to Cuba, the largest of the Antilles islands, where the Garcia family originated and honed their cigar-making craft over generations. The cigar's band features 19th-century inspired artwork, paying homage to early cigar production. The blend combines a sun-grown Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper with maximally aged Nicaraguan double binders and long-fillers. This results in a medium to full-bodied smoke with notes of roasted nuts, dried fruit, chocolate, wood, cocoa, espresso, and cedar. This Maduro line follows the original Flor de las Antillas, which received a 96-rating and was named Cigar Aficionado's '#1 Cigar of the Year' in 2012.
